PERSONAL COACHING/MENTORING

As clinicians, we've found that the best model for successful learning is a combination of:
1) studying essential concepts and methods that have been tested in the real world of practice; and

2) ongoing supervision with someone who's demonstrated an ability to successfully apply that knowledge, while you begin to apply the methods yourself.
We've learned that the same is true for business and marketing training: we all have places of resistance or difficulty in follow through that require the support and accountability that a supervisor or coach can supply. In fact, Jay Abraham - one of the world's most famous (and expensive) marketing consultants for small businesses - told us that he will no longer do any marketing seminars without a personal coaching component, because so few people are able to follow through and apply what they've learned, without consistent follow-up (and this is true even when people are paying $5,000 - $15,000 for a three day seminar with him).

So we know supervision is essential. That's why we've structured our program so that everyone has a Personal Coach or Mentor to provide support, feedback, guidance and accountability to help you make steady progress toward your ultimate practice goals. Best of all, every one of our Business Coaches is a psychotherapist currently running a successful private practice. They fully understand what you're dealing with, because they are in the same trenches every day.

This ongoing personal attention is one of the unique features of our program that greatly increases your application of what you're learning. And focusing on implementation is one of the key strengths of our program. We know you're busy and that it can be difficult to implement new ideas and practices. But we also know that consistently working ON your business while working in it is the only thing that will create different results. That's why we also teach all participants the latest time management strategies as part of our program. We want to give you every opportunity to succeed.

NOTE:
If you feel you do not need one-on-one mentoring and you are an organized, self-starter who can implement new ideas on your own, we also have a Home Study Program that's available.

To meet the diverse needs and learning styles of private practitioners, while participating in The Business of Psychotherapy: Creating Your Ideal Practice, you can customize your program to meet your unique practice needs.

In addition to the numerous forms of group support and resource sharing, all participants receive three different types of ongoing individual support and guidance.

The three types of support are:
  • written feedback on all assignments;

  • monthly individual telephone consultations;

  • unlimited email feedback on any question related to practice building.
  • Moreover, you can switch between types of support every month, depending on your needs. We know your needs change over time, so YOU decide HOW MUCH support, WHEN you need it.

    PROGRAM FEATURES

    During the first month of the program, all Business of Psychotherapy: Creating Your Ideal Practice participants:
  • Receive 4 - 6 articles on practice building, along with one application assignment every two weeks via email. The articles are cumulatively arranged to build a solid business and marketing mindset. The assignments guide the participant to apply each article to their unique situation - whether they're just starting out; want to fill up a solo practice or expand to a group practice.

  • Receive personal, written feedback on every homework assignment

  • Have one personal 30 minute coaching phone call a month to answer questions; process any resistances or "stuck" points; and provide accountability for consistent action every month

  • Have UNLIMITED email support to ask any question, any time and get immediate feedback

  • Receive our ezine Uncommon News, which provides supplemental information about new developments in marketing a service business, in the form of short audio segments; blog posts; member success stories, and much more

  • Receive a free web site analysis of an existing web site or guidance in the most important criteria in setting up a successful new web site

  • Can participate on two monthly national Conference Calls with members of the program to share successes; resources; ideas and strategies about practice growth; technology; websites; and any other aspects of promoting your practice. The Conference Calls are faciliated by Joe Bavonese, PhD and Mel Restum, PhD, Co-Directors of Uncommon Practices, who have been facilitating these calls with psychotherapists every month since 2005. Based on our experience on these calls, we have heard virtually every question - and every successful practice-building strategy - that you may be interested in or concerned about.

    And if your schedule doesn't permit you to be on any of the calls live, you can submit questions ahead of time via email and listen to a recording of the responses to your question. All conference calls are recorded - and because of this, another popular option is to download the recordings of the calls so you can put them on your iPod or MP3 player for listening at whatever time is best for you.

    PROGRAM FEES

    The program fee for the first module is $295/month. Note that all program fees are fully tax-deductible. Plus the program comes with something no other practice-building service offers:

    -Better than Money-Back Guarantee-

    We're so confident that this program will work for you that we stand behind it 100%. Complete the entire twelve-month program (all three modules), and if you don't earn at least as much in additional income as you paid for the program, we will refund your entire program fee, no questions asked: PLUS we will pay for an entire year of a Psychology Today Online Directory listing for you.

    There's absolutely no financial risk to you whatsoever. So if you're serious about practice growth, you simply won't find a more comprehensive program - or a better deal - anywhere else.

    What Happens After the First Module?

    After the first module, you decide whether or not you want to continue in the program. If you do continue, you can customize your program with the type of individual support and mentoring that works best for your learning style. Fees remain at $295/month for one type of individual support. Everyone in the program receives all the same information, articles, Conference Calls and access to our ezine for $295. The only time fees are higher is if you choose multiple forms of Mentoring in the same month. Also, if you want to have other members of your group participate in your program, there is a $50/month charge to add additional people to your program.
